AI Printer go brrr

12:50–13:10 CET · Moonshine · Track: AI

Every AI demo works fine until it has to touch something real. The model responds, the screenshot looks great, and then you try to wire it up to an actual device and find out how much the screen was covering for you.

So we figured we'd close that gap in front of an audience instead of quietly at home. One prompt, one Genkit flow running on Firebase, Nano Banana doing the generation, and a physical printer at the end of it, live for the whole session, with whatever you throw at it.

The architecture is the part we actually want to talk about. Orchestration ends up mattering more than the model call itself, and we'll show you how a flow gets structured so you can see what each step is doing, how you go about debugging something that breaks three layers down, and what changes when the last thing in your pipeline is a machine that won't negotiate.

One of us builds the flow, the other one gets the hardware to cooperate. We'll find out together whether they meet in the middle.

Expect working code, a lot of paper, and a printer that doesn't stop.
